Between the dates of May 25 to 29 yesterday, Tokyo Otaku Mode makes seabuah survey on their Facebook page about "Which anime character do you want to make dad??". Of 1'249 respondents, here are the results!
Overall Ranking
In terms of total votes, Minato Namikaze is sitting in a league of his
own. When looking at the trend in the ranking, it becomes clear that
more so than the main characters, their dads and characters who become
dads made the ranking (Minato Namikaze, Isshin Kurosaki, etc.)
Male Ranking
Highly popular overseas among males is the main character of Sword Art Online,
Kirito. Because popularity of this series’ heroine is higher, this is a
character we never would have thought would receive votes from males.
Female Ranking
Popular among females was Levi from Attack on Titan who ranked
in at No. 10 despite the fact that he shows no fatherly qualities. We
wonder if his image is stronger as a dad or a romantic interest. Also
popular on the Female Ranking is Inuyasha. Through this we can see that
his popularity is still firmly rooted.
