New Fossil Evolutions Revealed
We are just over three weeks away from the global launch of Pokemon X and Y and despite us already receiving the last CoroCoro Magazine issue before release, news is still coming out.
First two Pocket Monsters XY episode titles announced
Famitsu Wii+DS has unveiled the first two episode titles for Pocket Monsters XY. 「カロス地方にやってきた!夢と冒険のはじまり!!」 We've Arrived In The Kalos Region! Dreams and Adventures Begin!! and 「メガシンカとプリズムタワー!」 Mega Evolution and Prism Tower! will air during a one-hour special on Oct. 17.

More details on XY anime series revealed
TV-Tokyo's mini-site for the XY series has been updated to reveal new information regarding the characters in the new anime series. Serena, Clemont, and Bonnie are confirmed to Ash's new companions as he journeys through the Kalos region.

Pokémon Smash being replaced with Pokémon Get☆TV, Pocket Monsters: The Origin run time revealed
Back in 2010 when Pokémon Black and White were released on the Nintendo DS, the weekly Japanese variety show Pokémon Sunday was replaced with Pokémon Smash, which featured a near identical show format and line-up of hosts. Now that we are due to begin a new generation of Pokémon again with the October 12 worldwide launch of Pokémon X and Y, it has been revealed that in honor of that, Pocket Monsters: The Origin and TV Tokyo's 50th anniversary, the Pokémon Smash show will be receiving a new re-branding. From Oct. 6, the show will be known as Pokémon Get☆TV.

Pokémon X and Y demo unveils title screen, various game elements
At the Pokémon Game Show event in Japan, a Pokémon X and Y demo unveiled the games' title screen and various elements from the game. Fire-type is confirmed to be resistant to Fairy-type attacks. Fairy types take neutral damage from Fire-type attacks.
A move screen shows a Mega Evolution button, which can be used to Mega Evolve the player's Pokémon. This is displayed when the Pokémon is holding one Mega Stone that it needs to evolve. Pokémon can use a move on the same turn as Mega Evolving.

New footage of Pokémon X and Y shown on Pokémon Smash
New footage of the Pokémon X and Y games was shown on Pokémon Smash. The animation for fishing and surfing were revealed. The Pokémon X and Y games have a new Fisherman
that looks different from the previous games. When the fishing rod is
cast while fishing, the new animation shows a much larger ball at the
end of the rod. The surfing animation is very similar to what it was in
the Generation V games. When picking up an item, the player places the
item directly in the pocket of the Bag. This is different from the
previous games, where it was automatically placed in the Bag.
The Pokémon X and Y animations of Octazooka and Signal Beam were shown. Honedge can use Aerial Ace, which is also learned by Talonflame and Chespin. Honedge can also learn Shadow Sneak.

Poster and Trailer for Pocket Monsters XY shown on Pokémon Smash
A poster representing the Pocket Monsters XY anime series was unveiled on Pokémon Smash. Ash, Fennekin, Froakie, and Chespin are displayed on the poster. Professor Sycamore is displayed on the poster, along with a tower that is in Lumiose City shown in the background.

First XY TCG products unveiled called Beginning Sets, two different varieties coming in both regular and deluxe versions
The first XY TCG products have been unveiled for Japan. Beginning Set
and Beginning Set for Girls will be released on Nov. 8. The deluxe
versions called Beginning Set DX and Beginning Set DX for Girls will be
released on Nov. 15.

New Pokémon, Gym Leaders, Team Flare surface in CoroCoro
The August 2013 issue of CoroCoro Comics has leaked. It has revealed
several new Pokémon, two Gym Leaders, and a mysterious group named Team Flare.
New information about Xerneas and Yveltal has been unveiled. Xerneas is a pure Fairy-type Pokémon. Xerneas's special move is Geo Control. When using Geo Control, Xerneas releases seven-colored beams of energy from the ground. Its Ability is Fairy Aura, which the raises power of Fairy-type moves. Xerneas is the Life Pokémon.
Yveltal's special move is Death Wing. It is a Dark/Flying-type Pokémon. It has the Ability Dark Aura, which raises the power of Dark attacks. It is the Destruction Pokémon.
Pancham's evolution is Pangoro (ゴロンダ Goronda). Pangoro can have the Abilities Iron Fist and Mold Breaker, and the move Hammer Arm. It is considered the Aggressive-looking Pokémon. It is a Fighting/Dark-type
Pokémon. It evolves from Pancham with an unspecified new method. It has
the description: "While it has a wild temperament, it won't allow
anyone to bully the weak. It appears to have a warm heart."
